World Series

Image
World Series      The MLB World Series is almost here. Starting Friday, the Texas Rangers host the first game against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This is the most unlikely World Series, with both teams having losing records last year. But we are looking at something other than last year. The two teams entered the playoffs this season and won the AL and NL pennants.      As you may know, I am a huge Texas Rangers fan, so we will cover their playoff run first. This playoff had the Rangers in the Wildcard facing off against the Tampa Bay Rays in a three-series game. The Rangers won that series in only two games. As they moved on, they had to face the number one seed, the Baltimore  Orioles. This was a five-game series, and the Rangers won in three games. This pushed them into the chance to win the AL pennant. Their next opponent is a familiar team who is the rival of the Rangers. The Houston Astros have made it to the AL pennant seven years in a row. ...

Weather is Perfect

Weather is Perfect     It is finally the perfect weather outside, and I couldn't be happier. There are many things I like about the weather, such as the changing leaves, the temperature, and how you can sit outside and enjoy the fresh air. What can I say? I am a cold-temperature person. I always look forward to the weather getting colder. I really like winter too for even more reason.      Fall brings the cold mornings and the warm evenings. This is perfect, I think, because you wake up and get a wake-up call with the brisk air, and then once you get done with school and class you are still able to do stuff outside and not be drenched in sweat and also not too cold where you don't even want to be outside.      Moving along, I love fall season because the leaves are changing colors and turning pretty and lovely. Whenever I think of fall, I think of leaves changing, which must be top-tier feelings and sights. I think of driving home and lookin...

Best Time of the Year

Image
Best Time of the Year     Now is the best time of the year for sports fans nationwide. All four of the main American sports are currently on television. Let me break it down for you all.     Let's start off with the number-one sport in America: football. The National Football League (NFL) is currently in mid-season and is on TV Monday, Thursday, and Sunday. This is a nice spread of games, so you can count on an NFL game in two to three days from each other.       Moving on to the next American sport, Major League Baseball. This league is in the postseason and is on almost every day, depending on the games, but they are almost always on TV. MLB has fallen off recently, but playoffs are one of the most watched tournaments in  America.      The next, and my favorite, is the National Hockey League or the NHL. This league is just starting and recently had their first game on Tuesday. Hockey is always on TV if you have ESPN+, but if...

Fall Break Desperation

Image
Fall Break Desperation      This week brings a much-needed break: Fall Break. This two-day off break often lands directly after a weekend, making the break a five-day break. Sometimes, if the professor is feeling nice, they also give you Friday off. Which makes it a five-day break. This break falls perfectly for me because I desperately need a break, so I've heard from others.      It's starting to get to the point where you begin to really drill into the course, Where projects pile on, and homework assignments seem like a never-ending cycle. You turn an assignment in, and another five come right back at you. I stay on top of all assignments, but it gets stressful sometimes.      The break will be a nice refresh for me to relax for a little bit, then come back and lock in until Thanksgiving break. Then that's a nice relaxing break for everyone, and then we come back for about two weeks and lock in for the final exams.    ...
