Thanksgiving Burnout

 Thanksgiving Burnout

Man, I can't wait for Thanksgiving break. It can't come any slower. I am mentally fatigued from homework, test, and classwork. I have talked to my friends about the burnout college pushes you through, and it really is a grind. I feel bad for all freshmen experiencing burnout for the first time. I always have something to look forward to. Thanksgiving break is a perfect example of something to look forward to.

Thanksgiving falls perfectly for many reasons. One reason is that when Thanksgiving comes around, it usually, or at least for me, is when all classes stop teaching new content and focus more on reviewing past things.

With that being said, another reason for Thanksgiving falling in the perfect spot is that usually, after the break, we get back, and it's typically three weeks of just locking in and grinding the grades. This is nice because football for me is over, and it's all school, no other distractions.

I enjoy projects more than other people. I want projects because I am the worst test-taking this world has ever seen. No matter how much I study, I sit down, and everything disappears. Having projects instead of exams for finals helps me maintain my grades.

The reasons I listen above are the real reasons I enjoy Thanksgiving. And obviously, we must remember the food on Thanksgiving. I hope you all enjoyed this week's blog. As always, leave a comment. What is your favorite holiday? If it's Thanksgiving, what is your favorite food at Thanksgiving?
